Obama: GOP Pushing Vision Of 'Shrunken America'

Social Security is paid for by payroll taxes and is not an expense for the government. Republicans have wanted to get rid of it for years and leave granny on the street to starve, but we must not let them.

I just can't wrap my head around what republicans are thinking. Kept on this course, their entire political party will all but evaporate in 2012; as their indefensible political position will only highlight their true colors -- along with who they truly serve.

To be clear, neither side has it 100% right, but of the two, I think the GOP's position is far more dangerous for the future of our country. In my view, it renders policy of their inherent lack of empathy.

I ask all the readers of this blog, to take a stand with me, and vote out & recall as many Republicans as possible during the 2012 elections.

Donald Trump: Obama Birth Certificate Should've Been Released Long Ago (VIDEO)

How unfortunate for america, particularly white american, to reveal to the world that the very best representation of your leadership is Trump and Palin. Imagine the likes of these two attempting to interact with cultured, sophisticated world leaders with the highest education and manners. The hubris and ignorance to undermine the presidency of your own homeland indicates the state america is in--do not doubt that shrewd, contemplative world leaders have taken note of the weakness. And, china, india, russia, the middle east and africa will have the last laugh!

Obama Birth Certificate Released By White House (PHOTO)

This is absolutely absurd! The white backlash over a black president has come full circle. I had hoped that the president would have called out these morons two years ago for exactly what they are; but he held tight, believing that it was nonsense to be forced to release proof of his birthplace beyond what he had done. nevertheless, I am glad that he called out Donald Trump as a silly barker. I may not agree with our president on every issue, but he is good man, and I was proud of him this morning.

Obama Birth Certificate Released By White House (PHOTO)

This is coming from the right wing conservatives who want us to pay attention to a birth certificate document. Why would they want to focus on getting our country back from the wraths of hell they left us in when Bush was in office.

Donald Trump – YOUR FIRED! Will the next candidate please step up to the podium?

This won't shut them up. "it's all part of the conspiracy". Facts are meaningless in the worlds of the truly delusional Republicans.

Obama To Congress: Join Boehner And Me In Slashing Oil Subsidies

House Republicans are now in charge of the budget process.

…under their watchful eye…they gave America:

• Enron, Abramoff, & Madoff,

• Blackwater, & the BP oil-spill disaster,

• An unnecessary war, costly…and off-the-books

• Katrina relief incompetence,

• 89% increase in the debt, &

• Worst financial downfall since the Depression.

Let’s hope this is the first step in both parties working together on achieving something great. The gas speculators may need to be regulated as well.

GOP Primary Field Faces Troubles Ahead Of 2012

It could be argued that for every American family that slips into poverty one or two perhaps even three foreign families prosper, while of course the corporation reduces costs increases profits and returns shareholder value.

In a global market framework, the capitalist system appears to alive and well, isn't that what America stands for?

It's all on the Republicans, NOT on the Democrats. Wake up and stop sucking in the Republican BS.

GOP Primary Field Faces Troubles Ahead Of 2012

Trickle down reaganomics, low taxes, and a "Business friendly environment". Thats the Republicans plan. Easy to understand and easy to like talking points. All BS political garbage. Grow some balls and call a spade a spade, you want to keep it all. To hell with everyone else.

If you want to talk about people destabilizing America, you should talk about the Republicans giving obscene tax breaks to the rich and corporations, taking regulations off Wall Street and various businesses, etc.

It's all on the Republicans, NOT on the Democrats. Wake up and stop sucking in the Republican BS.

What country are they representing?

“I have never been a straight ticket voter. Most of my concerns do have me leaning toward the Democratic platforms dating to Reagan. But now, more than ever, I have become so disgusted with the Republican Party and their evolution toward extremism that for the first time in my life I can see myself voting straight anti-Republican.

None of the possible Republican contenders have anything different to bring to the table, let alone this country...same old lies, deceit and games of the Bush Party....even when the President and Democrats do something right for the country they still have bad things to say and that really bothers me...what country are they representing at that point???

The USA or the GOP....?

I ask all the readers of this blog, to take a stand with me, and vote out & recall as many Republicans as possible during the 2012 elections.

Republicans want government off our backs

When the economy is good the Republicans want government off our backs, but when the economy is bad the government is the first place the Republicans run to for help. Nice. Maybe corporations should take responsibility for their own actions, and if they screw up and need the government to intercede then maybe they should both expect and accept higher taxes as a consequence. Lowering taxes has never worked to keep our jobs in the country. We've been doing that steadily for the past three decades with zero effect.

I ask all the readers of this blog, to take a stand with me, and vote out & recall as many Republicans as possible during the 2012 elections.

Remember "Greed is Good" ?

Capitalism does work, it just needs to be watched, guided and corrected when necessary. Regulation is necessary to keep capitalism in check. We have all seen the results of capitalism when left unchecked. Remember "Greed is Good" but it needs to be reigned in to keep it from destroying Democracy.

There is a storm that is coming  in a year or two, when too many families have been without a wage earner for way too long, & it  will be immense.

There is only one solution.

 Where are the jobs?

((Overseas))!

Who sent them there?

((American corporations supported by Republicans))

How to get them back?

Make it extremely painful for these corporations to do business overseas.

End of problem.

Big Philosophical Divide

There is a "big philosophical divide" between Washington and Americans. Trillions of dollars for Wars, Billions of dollars for Bank Bailouts and Special Interests such as Renewable Energy, Billions in increases for the Pentagon to spend in other countries, now Millions to Libya, more tax cuts for the wealthy and the first thing, not the Last, Washington want to balance the budget on the backs of the poor, disabled and elderly Americans while the cost of food and energy skyrockets. I'll take a Republican's proposal seriously when it doesn't include kickbacks for the wealthiest Americans at the expense of the poor, elderly, and teachers.

The groundwork for job loss

The groundwork for job loss was mostly the work of Reagan, Bush Sr., and W. Bush Junior. This was all well under way before Obama stepped into the Whitehouse. Our wonderful corporations made the job losses many times worse, by using the banking bailout as a great distraction to do some major outsourcing in 2008-2009.
We've been focked by our leaders economic policies bought and paid for by the corporate bottom dollar.

Benito Mussolini- dictator of Italy during world war II stated: FACISM Should more rightly and appropriately Be called corporatism, because it is a merger between corporation and government. The GAS & OIL PARTY aka GOP are pushing this country to a fascist govt, whereby the wealth and corporations control and dictate to govt. This country will no longer be "We the People," but instead "We the Corporation.

I read here that Obama killed the American Dream

I'll take a Republican's proposal seriously when it doesn't include kickbacks for the wealthiest Americans at the expense of the poor, elderly, and teachers.

I read here that Obama killed the American Dream...how foolish. I think maybe Bush had a bigger hand in that then Obama did. Obama is the reason the country is still running....did you miss the last 10 years? Did you all miss the mess he got handed to him when he took office??? Was anyone here alive thru the Bush years???

I mean what happened to our country, greed took it over and ruined us, everyone always wanting more, never appreciating what we have.

I ask all the readers of this blog, to take a stand with me, and vote out & recall as many Republicans as possible during the 2012 elections.

A history lesson on the deficit and the differences between the parties

A history lesson on the deficit and the differences between the parties:

First the GOP gave everyone massive deficit causing tax cuts while saying, dont worry about the deficit, the tax cuts will cause economic prosperity and increase tax revenue.

Then they push to invade the wrong country while letting the mission in the right country get totally mismanaged, all while putting the bill for this war on the national credit card.

Then they didnt pay attention to signs of the economy going off a cliff, due to their own economic priority of deregulating the financial industry

Then Obama takes office with the economy losing 700K jobs/month, but in the 2 yrs since then has net positive 1mil+ jobs created. This is after total net jobs were lost over his predecessor's 8 years (see First above...so much for economic prosperity).

Then a bunch of GOPers who voted for Bush twice rename themselves Tea Party members out of embarassment and shame at the past 8 years, and hope they can misdirect the anger in the population at the results of the policies they spent 8 years supporting.

Then the GOP obstruct as much jobs legislation as possible in the senate while pointing fingers at the dems saying they arent doing enough about the jobs situation. As one pundit put it, its like they lit the house on fire and now stand there with stop signs blocking the fire trucks.

Then they run on the need to cut spending, despite CAUSING THIS PROBLEM THROUGH THEIR OWN POLICIES (see above)

Then the GOP get elected on a mandate they'll create jobs but after the election they immediately hold UI benefits and middle class tax cuts hostage unless those making 1mil+ get their tax cut extended too. The end result is extensions of these tax cuts at a cost of 70bil+/yr. So much for the deficit and fiscal responsibility. (jobs?)

Then their first bill through the house attempts to redefine rape to restrict a woman's abortion rights in rape situations, as well as reducing womens' rights in general by making date rape much more easily defendable in court (jobs?)

Then they attach riders to the 2011 budget attacking womens' healthcare, the EPA, and school lunches for poor kids(jobs?)

Then these Tea Party members (ie ex-Bush supporters) get 235 of their members to commit political suicide by voting to end medicare while giving the rich YET ANOTHER massive unnecessary tax cut.

Then the adults raise some taxes, close some loopholes, cut a little spending, and balance the budget without tossing the elderly into the gutter; and in '12 they toss the GOP/Tea Party into the gutter instead.

Yep, I think that about sums it up.

Another Republican bites the dust!

Another Republican bites the dust
Another Republican bites the dust
And another Republican gone, and another one gone
Another one bites the dust
Hey, there gonna get you too
Another Republican bites the dust

“Another Republican Bites The Dust”!

Meanwhile, the Republican Party spends $500 an hour on lawyers to defend an unconstitutional law that denies same-sex couples their right to a civil marriage. Maybe they should have spent some of that money on counseling for Ensign so he would keep his business in his pants instead of destroying the institution of marriage himself.

Ryan Medical Care-not Program

According to the CBO the vouchers proposed under "Ryan Care" are insufficient to cover typical costs to Seniors without even the benefit of actually being to calculate a real hard number for cost increases between now and the implementation.
People will believe what they want. Sadly most Americans don't like to be confused with fact. I believe that as an American citizen we have a responsibility to seek out the truth and make judgments based on those truthful facts. When politicians use lies it is because they don't have a legitimate argument. however they want their way and that is not necessarily what is good for us citizens. We can continue with our blind belief that any one political party is best for the country and wallow in our prejudices or we can act like mature adults and do what is best for this country and ALL its citizens while basing decisions on FACT.

The ((GOP)) is no longer the party of rational Conservatives. It has, in fact, become a party of extremism.

Every single GOP BIG MOUTH

Even before the economic crisis, the U.S. debt grew 50% between 2000-2008, ballooning from $6-$10.5 trillion under the Bush Administration. Every single GOP big mouth, that is "CRYING" now, had ZERO problem then....Now they are TRYING to hold the American people hostage for THEIR screw up
Ha-ha, capitalism is death sentence to a country if there isn't socialism in it too. We are seeing it already where a handful of people own most of the wealth, and that's exactly what Marx predicted would happen.
With the Democratic proposed budget, we can live within our means without putting burdens on the middle class and seniors or impeding our ability to invest in our future.

REPUBLICANS HAVE BECOME A LIABILITY

We've seen and heard all the showmanship from the Republicans about their budget cuts, But they were the ones who launched the trillion dollar Iraqi war and even worse, triggered the many bank failures before "W" left office.. The Republicans found religion last November and claimed that the election was about jobs, jobs, jobs. So what jobs have the Republicans created except for getting jobs for themselves in the Congress?

REPUBLICANS BREAK AMERICA. DEMOCRATS FIX AMERICA

Notice a familiar  trend:

REPUBLICANS BREAK AMERICA. DEMOCRATS FIX AMERICA.REPUBLICANS BREAK AMERICA. DEMOCRATS FIX AMERICA.REPUBLICANS BREAK AMERICA. DEMOCRATS FIX AMERICA.REPUBLICANS BREAK AMERICA. DEMOCRATS FIX AMERICA.REPUBLICANS BREAK AMERICA. DEMOCRATS FIX AMERICA.
Let's see...how many demographics have the tea party/GOP royally p\ssed off now...there's women (50% + of the voters), the elderly, the poor, the sick, the future sick, minorities, gays, vets, those of unchosen religions...anybody else, or did that cover about 99.99% of the US population?

Interesting differences between Republicans & Democrat party supporters

I have noticed that there are some interesting differences between Republicans & Democrat party supporters. Their posts appear to follow a specific pattern.

Examples:

Republican Post –“ (After hours of agonizing reflection, I have reduced what liberals embody into one elegant, sentence, Liberals are spawned from the same biological "goo" that forms in the concave portion of their bathroom plunger)”.

Democrat Post - The fact that GOP are blaming the democrats if this shut down happens is insane. Democrats want to fund social programs, health care, the military, so on and so forth.

Notice that Republican poster's would rather criticize the Democrats rather than focus on the Problem. The only thing bankrupt in this country is the GOP's philosophy.
