Romney's Olympic Gaffes, Obama's Small Business Comments Mean 'Absolutely Nothing', Rendell Says

We are no longer a Democracy. We are a Plutocracy.

We need to return to the tax rates for the rich in effect under Eisenhower. When the rich pay their fair share, and stay out of government, the country does very well.

And when they don't, we have what we are living through today: an economic depression like the 1930s.

Thanks to failed conservative polices like supply-side economics, aka Reaganomics, that serves only the rich and privatizes public insurance and services, we, the 99%, have a disaster on our hands that the 1% is blissfully unaware of.

Plutocrats make terrible leaders.

Mitt Romney U.K. Vacation And Our Pretty Vacant Politics: The 2012 Speculatron Weekly Roundup For July 20, 2012

The job creators are the consumers that buy products and services. A business can supply all the products it wants but if the consumer can't buy it, the business will go under. The consumer is the real job creator.

Republican politicians always insert the phrase "small business owners" into their arguments against increasing taxes for those that make more than $250k, but they're really protecting and answering to the most powerful and wealthiest companies and individuals in the country. By emphasizing small businesses, they try to make their unfair position more appealing. If they really cared about small business owners, they would come up with a compromise that helps this niche, while increasing taxes (and eliminating loopholes) for large corporations and the very wealthy. And if they really cared about the "spending problem" they would focus on cutting the Pentagon's bloated budget.

Mitt Romney Brought Bain Capital With Him To The Olympics

Romney was born rich and politically connected and couldn't get elected as a Massachusetts senator or reelected as Governor of that state. Obama was born poor into a mixed race family and became President of the United States ended a couple of wars and passed the most comprehensive Health Care bill since Medicare.

Mitt Romney Dismisses Tax Return Disclosure Calls From Republicans (VIDEO)

The GOP needs to explain how they are the friends of the middle class and of small business. The GOP economic theory, as promulgated by Ronald Reagan 30 years ago and developed under subsequent adminsitrations (especially George W. Bush): take care of super-wealthy people, and maybe they'll invest in things and the benefits will somehow reach the rest of us. This translated into huge tax cuts, resulting in more tax burden for the middle class.

And in case you've missed the point about small businesses: most small businesses are managed by middle class people, not super-wealthy people. It's the small businesses that create new jobs--that's a historical fact. And GOP economic theory does not help small businesses.

So I think Romney and the rest of them have it completely upside down: Obama is the friend of the middle class and of small businesses.

A Thousand Cuts: Austerity Measures Devastate Communities Around The World

Another GOP waste of time and money.

They are just itching to take away health insurance from the children with cancer and to raise the prescription prices to seniors and veterans.

How can saving the government money, the people money and saving lives become so awful in the eyes of Republicans?

Oh, that's right...it was Obama's idea.....

The Republican Party thrives on constructing war while destructing the Middle Class.

How's THAT for un-American and un-Christian?

Health Care Repeal Bill Passes GOP-Controlled House, Has No Shot In Senate

Republicans hate Obamacare so much that they can't wait to replace Obama with the guy who some say, invented it.

When is the GOP going to stop playing partisan political games on the taxpayer's dime and focus on jobs?

This is why I will never vote GOP. They just cannot take no for an answer. They will beat this dead horse to death over and over. If the GOP spent more time trying to help improve the economy and less time crying over spilled milk we would not be in this mess. The GOP is truly the party of no.

DON’T GET STDs

You watch Faux news and decide to become a Republican.

When you become a Republican, you feel powerful and important.

When you feel powerful and important, you insult people and order them around.

When you insult people and order them around, you become lonely.

When you become lonely, you got to a strip club to meet other Republicans.

When you meet other Republicans at the strip club, you drink heavily.

When you drink heavily in a strip club, you get STDs.

When you get STDs, you go to a doctor for treatment.

When your doctor treats you for STDs, he gives you a bill.

When you look at the bill, you realize the strip club got all your money and you can’t pay.

When you can’t pay, your doctor tells you about the new Healthcare Law.

When you hear about the new Healthcare law, you become a Democrat.

Don’t become a Republican and get STDs.

Democrats Go On Offense On Obamacare, Hit GOP For Pushing Repeal Of Popular Provisions

The Republicans are all still screaming- let the private sector fix it.

To Everyone- That is BS and nothing but BS.

If the prices of insurance go up and more people can't afford it and drop it or they are laid off and can't afford insurance, guess what happens to the price of insurance(Up,Up,Up). Are the Republicans really that stupid to believe the insurance companies are going to fix things. No wonder you are becomming a 3rd world country. It is because you have less than a third world intellect. Good luck in November GOP.

Governing cannot be a zero sum game like the GOP expect. This has to be the year that middle class stand for their self interest. Reject the of the interests of those with $ 1 billion funded GOP presidential campaigns and their backers.

Backwards is the direction of the momentum offered with Romney right now. He offers nothing different from the policis of circa 2001-2008.
