This is really about a lot more than just one mass shooting. What it's really about is today's extremist right embracing the tactics of dictators, communists and nazis to further their own ends and they're actively doing it with the help of our enemies and in some cases, asking our enemies for their help.
Gateway Pundit is a liar's paradise as that's pretty much all they do except shill for racists. They and some others threw this crap out there and then Fox News people like Tucker Carlson and Greg Gutfeld ran with it.
This is lower than low and it shows you how uncivilized these people are. Those kids who went through that trauma don't deserve this and neither does the country. It's gone from bs "thoughts and prayers" to traumatizing kids who've already been traumatized enough thanks to the very people doing it.
Today's right has proven they'll lie about anything no matter what the consequences or what common decency dictates. From this to embracing our enemies to the point where you have Devin Nunes this morning asking for Russian twitter bots to help him, they're a disgrace to this country...
The Republicans are just a collection of fringe groups banded together by a common paranoia that the right wing media feeds them.The right in this country is not conservative, far from it. It's become doctrinarian and authoritarian in nature. Everything is shaped, including the facts by ideology. The lemming-like willingness of so many Republicans today to obediently follow the ranting right fringe of their party is not only remarkable and frightening... it's downright disgusting. Their hateful hypocrisy knows no bounds, no limits on name-calling rhetoric, and no decency or willingness to accept responsibility for things they've enthusiastically promoted in the recent past, (such as gun rights).
