I thought our president was supposed to support upholding our laws? Trumped has really trumped our country. As a result, the rulings that the GOP hopes to attain will not really be viewed as legitimate by the majority of the population. Something needs to be done before this unqualified disaster of a president creates a situation this country can't recover from. We're already the laughing stock of the world.Well, I am American. It is inherent in my identity as an American and inherent in my membership to the modern world that it is only rational devotion to the rule of law that will separate us from brutal revenge as an acceptable resolution of injustices. Not voicing moral indignation of this man's words is tantamount to guiding our society to a state which is only degrees away from the kinds of 'criminal justice' that we witness implemented in Myanmar and the Philippines and Saudi Arabia and China.

Just keep putting your country first and vote for your freedom! The authority of any court is partly based on the public's perception of it's legitimacy. The GOP has made the critical error of undermining legitimacy (using Congressional rules of order to block Obama's Constitutional power to appoint judges) in order to pack the courts with conservatives under Trump. The last Republican to take personal responsibility for his own mistakes was Eisenhower, when he warned Americans about the military industrial complex in the last days of his administration. Trump cries more than any President in history. Everything that happens is somebody else's fault, nobody loves him, fake news, CNN, anything but take responsibility for any action or lack thereof. But, what really keeps me up at night is knowing that diplomacy has kept us out of more military conflicts than a show of force and tough talk….and there may be no qualified personnel to answer the phone at our embassies at the most critical junctures.

This is lower than low and it shows you how uncivilized these people are. Those kids who went through that trauma don't deserve this and neither does the country. It's gone from bs "thoughts and prayers" to traumatizing kids who've already been traumatized enough thanks to the very people doing it.

The Republicans are just a collection of fringe groups banded together by a common paranoia that the right wing media feeds them.The right in this country is not conservative, far from it. It's become doctrinarian and authoritarian in nature. Everything is shaped, including the facts by ideology. The lemming-like willingness of so many Republicans today to obediently follow the ranting right fringe of their party is not only remarkable and frightening... it's downright disgusting. Their hateful hypocrisy knows no bounds, no limits on name-calling rhetoric, and no decency or willingness to accept responsibility for things they've enthusiastically promoted in the recent past, (such as gun rights).
