There is this notion, perpetuated by Republicans, that the wealthy create jobs, so tax cuts for the wealthy will lead to more jobs being created.
Nothing could be farther from the truth. The wealthy cannot create jobs in a vacuum. The laws of supply and demand drive job creation. You can't just increase supply and expect that demand will somehow materialize for your goods and services.
But the reverse is true. When you cause demand to go up, entrepreneurs will find ways to produce goods and services to meet the demand, creating jobs and gaining wealth in the process.
So to spur job creation you have to increase demand for goods and services.
How do you increase demand? Demand for goods and services go up when the poor and the middle-class have more money to spend. So to increase demand, cut taxes on the poor and middle-class and raise minimum wages. When demand goes up entrepreneurs will meet the demand by increasing supply, hiring more employees to produce more. This is what creates jobs, not tax cuts for the wealthy!
Here's an example: Consider your local McDonalds franchise. If thanks to tax cuts for the wealthy, the franchisee has an extra $50K per year, is he going to make and sell extra Big Macs with that money? Of course not. The number of Big Macs he makes depends on how many people walk in the door of his restaurant. Given that he wasn't turning away any customers to begin with, he can't make more Big Macs unless more customers walk in the door. So the question is, how do you get more customers to walk in the door. The answer is, by giving tax cuts to the middle class and the poor. When they have more discretionary income they buy more Big Macs. Thus, the way to grow the economy is by giving tax cuts to the middle class and the poor, not the wealthy!

Make America Great Again.?
Make America Great Again. Attack public schools, then put in place in the seat of the Secretary of education a person who never attended a public school, nor their children. End tax breaks to college students and college grads. They are so wealthy they have to eat instant noodles as meals, so tax them more. Now lets throw the elderly and sick in the street. Make America Great Again, must be code words for turning America into a lesser developed nation like Afghanistan.

Donald J. Trump pronounced the planet Earth a “loser”!
WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—In a dramatic announcement from the White House Rose Garden on Thursday,
Donald J. Trump pronounced the planet Earth a “loser” and vowed to make a better deal with a new planet.
“Earth is a terrible, very bad planet,” he told the White House press corps. “It’s maybe the worst planet in the solar system, and it’s far from the biggest.”
Trump blasted former President Barack Obama for signing deals that committed the United States to remain on the planet Earth indefinitely. “Obama is almost as big a loser as Earth,” Trump said. “If Obama was a planet, guess what planet he’d be? That’s right: Earth.”
When asked which planet he would make a new deal with, Trump offered few specifics, saying only, “The solar system has millions of terrific planets, and they’re all better than Earth, which is a sick, failing loser.”
Trump’s remarks drew a strong response from one of the United States’ NATO allies, Germany’s Angela Merkel. “I strongly support Donald Trump leaving the planet Earth,” she said.

And we thought Bush was the worse President
Something needs to be done before this unqualified disaster of a president creates a situation this country can't recover from. We're already the laughing stock of the world. Bush destabilized the Middle East giving rise to civil war, metastasizing Al Qaeda and giving birth to ISIS, Trump damn well could let North Korea, through his ignorance, blow up the West Coast and/or Hawaii/Alaska. You got to admit the Republicans sure know how to screw things up bigly. Not sure most of us will be around if this keeps up. And we thought Bush was the worse President even. On his worse day, he was better than Trump on his best day. I guess the GOP could get worse. There are Ryan, Pence, and Cruz and in three years who knows what the GOP will be able to find.

Republican president that wins an election does it by cheating the system.
Why does it seem that after Bush senior, that every Republican president that wins an election does it by cheating the system.
The Florida election recount of 2000 was a period of vote recounting in Florida that occurred during the weeks after Election Day in the 2000 United States presidential election between George W. Bush and Al Gore. The Florida vote was ultimately settled in Bush's favor by a margin of 537 votes when the U.S. Supreme Court, in Bush v. Gore, stopped a recount that had been initiated upon a ruling by the Florida Supreme Court. That in turn gave Bush a majority of votes in the Electoral College and victory in the presidential election.
Over the last four years the Republicans have gone through elaborate attempts to make sure populations that don’t support them don’t get a chance to vote. After the 2010 walloping, Republicans decided they would need to tilt the odds in their favor. Using their control of state legislatures, they gerrymandered districts to ensure their victory. Karl Rove came out and said it in an Op-Ed, writing, “He who controls redistricting can control Congress.” They won in districts that were drawn specifically to allow them to win. There were certainly other factors at play, but it’s hard to image Republicans winning as many seats without their nifty swindle.
Billionaires are influencing the democratic process in a manner that is pure corruption. If it is allowed, you will have an oligarchy, not a democracy.

To liberal viewers, this whole display is boggling!
I was driving down Warner and PCH and saw this trump supporter crossing the street with a big hunting knife strapped to his belt. I grew up at the beach and I have never seen anybody strapping a large knife. It’s hard to know exactly when the Republican Party assumed the mantle of the “stupid party.”To liberal viewers, this whole display is boggling. These folks clearly are competent enough to dress themselves, read the address of the rally and show up on time, and somehow they continue to believe stuff that’s so crazy and so false that it’s impossible to believe anyone that isn’t barking mad could believe it. How unfortunate for America, particularly white american, to reveal to the world that the very best representation of your leadership is Trump. Mr. Trump promotes a nativist, isolationist, anti-trade agenda that is supported by few if any serious scholars. He called for tariff increases that experts warn will cost millions of jobs and plunge the country into a recession.
Trump is a little tone-deaf to the average American.
He unveiled his slogan this week: 'Are you better off than you were four wives ago?
In a way, the joke’s on the Republican Party: After decades of masquerading as the “stupid party,” that’s what it has become. But if an unapologetic ignoramus wins the presidency, the consequences will be no laughing matter.
"The Republicans have become fascist", who would support such a party?

We literally buy the food that the poor conservatives eat.
Democrats are less likely to be in need of being fed, we tend to be the ones doing the feeding. We earn more about 7% more on average, I suspect because we value education. We pay more in taxes. Lib states are wealthier and support the conservative states which are the poorest in the nation. The wealthiest part of any state is the liberal part of the state and the poorest are the conservative areas of the state. Highest food stamp use, in Conservative states, lowest lifespans in conservative states as is highest infant mortality ( babies there are only sacred before birth). Yes Conservatives are fed by hand and by we liberals, we literally buy the food that the poor conservatives eat.
