Democrats Compare Banning Farm Dust Regulation To 'Fairy Dust' In GOP 'Fantasy' Bill

PatrioticUSGlory,

You need to cut back on the coke. Have you lost your mind? The GOP wants cut back on education because:

1. If you're educated you will be able to decipher their stupidity.

2. If you're dumb enough, you'll pray for the pot of gold the rich leaves at the end of the rainbow.

Demise Of Obama CLASS Program Leaves Gap In Long-Term Care Solutions

It is misleading to refer to the Republican proposal to date as a "jobs" plan unless one rightfully calls it a job "destruction" plan. It merely completes the cycle of deregualtion that the Republicans have led us down and keep trying to sell us on as well as the bankrupt idea of trickle down economics. The Republicans appear to be operating under the premise that if the masses are under educated and fiancially strapped they are easilly controlled.

Republican politicians love to wear American flag lapel pins and talk about what patriots they are. At the moment we have nearly a million unemployed veterans. Eventually and hopefully we will see the return of our troops from Afghanistan adding to this problem. Republicans have no plan on how we are going to employ many or any of these veterans. How patriotic is that.

The GOP has been trying to keep the Tea Party movement under control and the signs of fatigue are on Speaker Boehner's face. Anyone who has watched the Republican presidential debates has witnessed the high jacking of the GOP by the presumed torch bearers for the TP and far right wing. The Occupy Wall Street movement is in its infancy and formative period but it also will have an impact on politics.

I hope the quandary that republican house & senate members find themselves in, is that THEIR JOB is in JEOPARDY! Time to part company from Norquist; McConnell & Johnny boy and become unemployed.

Demise Of Obama CLASS Program Leaves Gap In Long-Term Care Solutions

The quote from the information tech is soooo telling. The GOP bullhorn blaring that THE STIMULUS DID NO GOOD is equal to the statement THE WORLD IS FLAT. There is abundant evidence that the stimulus from both Bush and Obama was too small. It was a quart of water thrown desperately at a house fire. The Republicans are movitated by only two things. Unspoken greed and racism. In addition, they apparently don't mind the country's savage experiment with "free markets" which have mortally wounded the middle class. To the wealthy elite and their GOP puppets.

GOP 2012 Race Dominated By Personal Attacks

You read posts and see the emotional reactions and it leaves no doubt in recognizing how some are controlled and used. GWBush was literally a "puppet" for the powerful, influential and very wealthy few who "pulled his strings" and it cost the majority, the country greatly. The Republican / Tea Party has become owned and controlled by "the few" and there simply is a lot of power, influence and money being spent to get another "puppet" to again do the bidding of "the few". They intimidate and coerce their own to insure unity behind their self-serving objectives, totally squelching individual consciences. They aggressively and stubbornly block and fault all efforts, without concern for the costs to the people, concentrating only on their political ambitions. They use every effort without conscience to con the people and manipulate public opinion, like to control the Christian block, then with the Swift-boat propaganda and continuing with the Tea Party movement - all being well designed, well organized and well financed deceptions aimed to excite and control public opinion. They strive to return to "more of the same" Bush-Cheney style, which would be a continuing catastrophe for the majority. Again, there is a lot of power, influence and money being spent to con the people but the voters can recognize and reject it ... or just be duped and returned to "more of the same".

Republican Polls' Roller Coaster Powered By News Coverage

We need to focus on short-term job growth under President Obama's plan and reinvest in education, science, and technology to out-innovate the rest of the world over the long term. What rings most true to me is that a focus on education often leads to the best economies.

"Republicans said their bill would create jobs over time rather than aiming for immediate job growth." Right. First, it's not a jobs bill at all; it's a laundry list of ideological talking points. Second, of course they say it's a long term plan. They've clearly stated that their priority is beating Obama, not providing immediate jobs. Immediate jobs means a plus for Obama, not to mention millions of Americans who need jobs and are losing their homes.

HAMP: White House Doubles Down On Mortgage Modification Spin

I understand why republicans are against paying for education.

1. If you're educated you will be able to decipher their stupidity.

2. If you're dumb enough, you'll pray for the pot of gold the rich leaves at the end of the rainbow.

That's the only reason they're calling for a "tax cut for jobs creators" that have lost over 8 million jobs, because it's a success. While they are calling another plan that created over 2.5 million jobs a failure.

Being educated is key to never voting republican.

The bush tax cuts - the single largest factor over ten years in exploding the national debt - are still in place. That, too, was a "long term plan." Result? No jobs, the wealthy minority continue to accumulate massive wealth and corporations are sitting on trillions of dollars. Where are the jobs? Now the GOP wants even more tax cuts and subsidies for large corporations. Sheer madness.

To gain political advantage the GOP wants even higher unemployment and escalating foreclosures, with no thought or compassion for Americans who are losing their jobs, homes, savings, retirement funds, and their future. If killing the American dream will help them beat Obama, then that's what they'll do.

Mitch McConnell: "My first priority is to defeat Barack Obama [not to improve the economy]. My first loyalty is to my party [not to help the millions of Americans who struggling and suffering in this country]."

"Republicans said their bill would create jobs over time rather than aiming for immediate job growth through government spending".

$20 billion in tax breaks for oil companies, $1 billion in siphoned funds for earmarks, tax breaks for the rich. This does not make any sense, like most of the Republicans proposals.

Republicans used to stand for something, and there were actually sane discussions between parties. I used to respect Republicans at one time - now they are all disappointing hypocrites.

The GOP are once again heading us right back to where we were financially in 2007 - without any safety net whatsoever.

We need jobs now!

Mitt Romney May Have A Glass Jaw, But Candidates Didn't Take Aim During New Hampshire GOP Debate

One thing I learned: These clowns have no solutions. It's all just talking points and crazy talk to rile up the base. Woe is us if any one of them becomes president. We'll be going from bad to worse. They put us in the hole, won't help dig us out, and now they want to be in charge again. I say let's give the current president the same 8 years to fix the mess that the previous one had to make it. Then we'll judge. Because that hole is very, very deep.

Obama Jobs Plan Voted Down By Senate

The Senate was still voting late Tuesday, but Democrats did not have enough votes to overcome ((a filibuster led by Republicans)). Most Democrats supported the bill while all Republicans were voting to block it.

Precisely what the GOP wants...by stalling the economic recovery, blaming it on Obama and the Democrats, and to keep unemployment high so big business (and, by that, I mean even McDonalds) has a large labor pool to pull from keeping wages low and campaign contributions at a maximum.

Republicans used to stand for something, and there were actually sane discussions between parties.

I am a lifelong Democrat but respected Republicans at one time - now they are all disappointing hypocrites.

I ask all the readers, including all the beautifully minded women of this blog, to take a stand with me, and vote out & recall as many Republicans as possible during the 2012 elections.

Chris Christie Endorses Mitt Romney For President In 2012 GOP Primary

Make no mistake people, todays Republican party is NOT filled with real conservatives and does not espouse real conservative values, it is home to increasingly irrational and radical extremism and the voters ARE beginning to see this.

Nonetheless, Eric Cantor, the House majority leader, has denounced “mobs” and “the pitting of Americans against Americans.” The G.O.P. presidential candidates have weighed in, with Mitt Romney accusing the protesters of waging “class warfare,” while Herman Cain calls them “anti-American.” My favorite, however, is Senator Rand Paul, who for some reason worries that the protesters will start seizing iPads, because they believe rich people don’t deserve to have them.

I think the GOP's position is far more dangerous for the future of our country. In my view, it renders policy of their inherent lack of empathy.

Republican Presidential Candidates Divert Focus From Economy

Make no mistake people, todays Republican party is NOT filled with real conservatives and does not espouse real conservative values, it is home to increasingly irrational and radical extremism and the voters ARE beginning to see this.

They prefer clinging to their extremist and oligarchical fantasies like "trickle down" economics, tax breaks for the ultra rich and powerful corporations and an outdated, unpopular and rigid social agenda rather than deal with the real world that we now live in.

Hopefully, the GOP will continue to deny their agenda is on shaky ground, keep pushing these attacks on the common man while pouring benefits to the financial royalty.

I think the GOP's position is far more dangerous for the future of our country. In my view, it renders policy of their inherent lack of empathy.

Obama News Conference: President Goes On Offense Over GOP Opposition To Jobs Bill

At some point in time, American’s must face the fact that the strength of any society doesn’t emulate from the greedy, corrupt few that rape the wealth of net worth of the citizenry of our society. It is the efforts of the citizens as they go through their lives growing up, getting educated, working to raise a family, and moving into retirement, that drive an economy through growth and sustainability. Just as a society that produces nothing cannot grow or sustain itself economically over any long term, a society that doesn't have jobs (because the wealthy are too busy sending jobs and assets overseas) for the citizens, is also incapable of growth or sustainability.

The GOP has sold us out, and the American people are fed-up.

Lets take back our country and vote the Republicans out during the 2012 elections!

2012 GOP Primary Voters Face Choice Between Establishment Mitt Romney And Novice Rick Perry

Republican supporters,

Every economist has said that if you cut the stimulus too soon by too much, you'll create a double dip recession, and that's what the GOP has done and continue to do deliberately.

Sounds to me like the wealthy are going to be experiencing what we've been experiencing. And it doesn't belong to any presidency or unions.

2012 GOP Primary Voters Face Choice Between Establishment Mitt Romney And Novice Rick Perry

Essentially, Republicans believe that the answer to all of America’s problems is laissez-faire capitalism, deregulation and tax breaks for the richest Americans. They support ending government programs that are vital lifelines for the poor and elderly. Their solution to poverty and unemployment is welfare reform, i.e. kicking poor people off welfare and forcing them to fend for themselves in this harsh economy where jobs are scarce. By the way, several of the Republican candidates even support ending the minimum wage.

When Republicans "win," America loses.

Democrats Launch Campaign To Counter Alleged GOP Voter Suppression

Class warfare? a new term all the republicans have agreed to repeat. When they cut programs that are for the poor and lower middle class, isn't that class warfare?

The GOP has been waging class warfare on the middle class for 30 years.

The posts on this site confirm that GOP voters are an ignorant (illiterate, I'd say) bunch, except for the wealthy ones who support the party because of the benefits to themselves. When I see a person of wealth, I see a person who is wealthy. From what I see and hear from their own words, their perception of themselves is twisted. There are exceptions of course. But for the most part, their wealth has corrupted their vision of humanity.

Bill Daley: I'd Like Republicans To Bring 'Anything' From Obama's Jobs Bill To Floor

The Republicans are obviously working hard to protect the top 1% of wealth at the expense of the 99%. But the 99% is too weak and too deluded to fight for their own rights and life. So who's to blame here?

The world is laughing at the Americans but they have no clue or even the dignity to see that they are in trouble.

Democratic Senate Candidates Encouraged To Tie Themselves To Obama's Foreign Policy

I cant wait for the chance to vote for 2012 elections.

The Republicans are going all out on this one. How many more tricks up their sleeves are left on destroying progress, for greed & profit?

This is strictly a political game that the Republicans are playing. The GOP took over two years ago on a JOBS agendas, and we have yet to see any jobs, except cutting funding to government, and NO to everything from John Boehner. Does this sound familiar to you from everything from the budget to the debt ceiling. Water-boys for ultra-wealthy wing nuts and kooks who don't give a damn about the country, only returning to power.

I plan to vote-out very damm Republican that will be running for a political office. The GOP has sold us out, and the American people are fed-up.

Quality of government

We get the quality of government we deserve based on our overall participation in the democratic process. If we do not take the time to investigate, understand and cognize opinions because we are too busy we abdicate our responsibility of citizenship. Those who are too busy raising their children, advancing their careers or just struggling to survive to engage in the political process in a meaningful way get the quality of government they deserve handed to them by those who usually live on the fringes of their intellect and care more for zealotry than logical compromise.

Why Congress Is So Dysfunctional
